Vortex Dipoles

Does this software work for vortex dipoles in a layered fluid?? Like what is shown here?? http://www.physics.mun.ca/~yakov/P3900_PIV.htm

Re: Vortex Dipoles

That should work... But it depends a bit on the texture quality of the fluid. The general rule is: If you can see moving structures by eye, then PIV can also do it.

Re: Vortex Dipoles

Are you trying to load mpg files into PIVlab? Is that where you get the error message? Importing movie files is not supported. Only bmp, jpg, tifare supported. You can use any suitable software to convert your movie to a series of separate image files.
